Amontillado sherry starts life as a Fino, but goes through an additional period of maturation without the 'flor' layer, an oxidative maturation phase that produces a richer colour and more robust characteristics.
The Hogshead casks that previously held this sherry were used to age this whisky, bottled at 48 % alcohol without chill filtration or additional colouring. The whisky is aged for 9 years.
